About Us

Hi, I’m Anna, owner and head groomer at The Hair of the Dog. For me, grooming isn’t just a job, it’s a genuine passion that comes from spending over 15 years immersed in the dog world.

My journey began with breeding and showing dogs, starting with Boston Terriers. For the last 7 years I have also been exhibiting Standard Poodles at competition level. This experience taught me not only the technical precision required for breed-specific grooming, but also how to work with dogs of all temperaments with patience and care. I’ve been grooming professionally for five years and have proudly owned The Hair of the Dog for the past two and a half years.

While we welcome all breeds and sizes through our doors, my specialty is poodle trims, from classic show clips to modern pet styles. Whether your pup needs a full groom or just a tidy-up, they’ll receive the same attention to detail and gentle handling that I’d give my own dogs.

What I love most about what I do is building lasting relationships with both dogs and their owners. Many of the pups I groom have become like family to me, and I take pride in creating a calm, positive grooming experience where every dog feels safe and cared for.
